Please take time read the draft 2024 - 2030 Parks & Trails Plan Update. The Forestry & Parks Commission recommended the plan be forwarded to the City Council for consideration. The draft plan was presented to the City Council at the March 25th Study Session. The draft plan is available under the documents section of this page. Please see the key dates on the right hand column and the link below regarding any notices, and/or public hearings for Planning Commission and Council meetings.

  • What are the plans for the new pavilion and basketball/pickleball courts at Rainier View Park? I have not seen much discussion regarding construction originally slated for fall of 2024.

    The covered court is going under construction! On September 18, the Council awarded the construction contract to Andy Johnson & Company, Inc., for $1,416,163.50. That means you should see action on it very soon. Already, the playground replacement is underway.
